Developed during Prototyping & Experimental Media Masterclass
The VMS-25A is a electro-acoustic idiophone that bridges the gap between physical matter and digital manipulation.
The instrument is based on a hybrid approach: Four resonant sound elements made of brass, beech, aluminum, and welding wire form the analog core. As soon as these are set into vibration, the integrated digital audio module Daisy Pod transforms the signals in real time. Intuitive playing techniques and variable effects create multi-layered, often unpredictable ambient textures.
The VMS-25A invites to experiment, discover new worlds of sound, and become part of a unique acoustic experience.
